Messages for you
A participatory work composed and directed for wind bands, string students and professional musicians. Including collaboration with the visual artist Chris Wainwright. Performed at the hojuji Temple in Kamaishi on the 3rd November. Commissioned by the Future Labo.

Messages For You – This project was a project of music and healing carried out in Kamaishi, Iwate Prefecture. Three choirs, a school wind band, and local community leaders took part in an informal concert atmosphere called a “happiokai”. Messages were conveyed by clapping morse signs, singing an own song by one of the choirs, choreographic writing of messages, and messages conveyed by the community leaders. As well the audience took part. The score was the powerpoint projection.
